Ready for 2014 WEC season
The TS040 HYBRID launch is coming soon, so soon in fact you can literally hear it with our exclusive sound clip of the new LMP1 car at full throttle.
Taken during the first test of the TS040 HYBRID in Paul Ricard in late January, this clip gives a sneak preview of what race fans all over the world will experience when the car races in the FIA World Endurance Championship this year.
That full-bodied roar is our new V8 petrol engine at full throttle. What you can’t hear, of course, is the four-wheel drive hybrid system which delivers an incredible power boost at the exit of a corner. You may not hear it, but the drivers can certainly feel it…
The TS040 HYBRID will be launched on March 27 in Paul Ricard, one day before the Prologue test at the same track which sees all WEC teams on track together for the first time this year.

And don’t forget, you too can see TOYOTA Racing duke it out with our rivals from Audi and Porsche. On Saturday, March 29, the Prologue is open to the public (tickets are free and can be ordered here) while Silverstone hosts the season-opener on April 20 (tickets here).
